CHILD PROTECTION POLICY.
- Sports 4 u Midlands believes that the safety and welfare of children and young people ( under 18 years of age ) is paramount.
- That every member of commitee,coach and volunteer shall at all times possess a current Criminal Records Bureau.
- The coach is commited to ensure that every child and young person regardless of age, ability, racial orgin, religious belief, sexual orientation or gender has a right to learn, participate in and enjoy the sessions free of fear or abuse of any type.
- The coach shall be responsible for ensuring strict compliance to the Sports 4 u Midlands Child Protection Policy.
- The coach will deal rigorously with any instances of abuse and will at all times follow the procedures laid out in the Sports 4 u Midlands Child Protection Policy.
- Any abuse or inappropriate behaviour regarding children and young people will be challenged appropriately.
- It is clearly understood that abuse comes in many forms, including emotional, physical and sexual buse. Foul language, bullying and forcing an participant to perform at an inappropriate level are also recognised as forms of abuse.
Good Coaching Practice
- Rights - Coaches must respect and champion the rights of every individual to participate in the sessions.
- Relationships - Coaches must develop a relationship with participants (and others) based on openness, honesty, mutual trust and respect.
- Responsibilites - Coaches must demonstrate proper personal behaviour and conduct at all times.
